60% of private college students graduate in four years. Featuring intimate learning communities, private colleges and universities are able to contribute to a high-quality, sharply intelligent workforce prepared to lead and contribute in the new knowledge-based economy.

An Affordable Choice

Oregon’s private colleges and universities have evolved beyond old demographic stereotypes. 31% of undergraduates qualify for Federal Pell Grants. 92% of first time, first year students receive financial aid. The average indebtedness of graduates is lower than the national average for comparable institutions and similar to that of public institution graduates.

Diversity of Degrees

Oregon’s private colleges and universities offer degrees in 241 academic fields including the following percentages of bachelor’s degrees awarded in Oregon: 22% of all STEM, 36% of all Health Professions, 22% of all Business Management & Marketing, 25% of Arts & Humanities, & 24% of Economics.
